Silicon Allee, as it's been called, is fast becoming a leader in innovation, entrepreneurship, and tech. Berlin has given rise to the likes of Zalando, N26, Delivery Hero, Tier Mobility, Hello Fresh, FreightHub, and there are plenty more on the horizon.
Low living costs, cheap office space, and a young diverse talent pool has created a thriving ecosystem of start-ups. Many have been pulled to the city by its vibrant culture and awe-inspiring architecture, and stayed for the progressive, bohemian atmosphere. The city at the centre of Europe has become a magnet for international talent that, like us and our clients, want to disrupt and change the world for the better.
Berlin, the largest city in Europe's biggest economy, attracts a lot of investment - which is why several unicorns and VCs are opening offices there too. Thanks to Atomico’s State of European Tech report (2020) we know that since 2016, Berlin has received $12.6bn worth of investment - placing it second only to London. In 2020, the city’s ecosystem attracted $2.4bn of capital.

We’re delighted that our colleague, Alexander Dial is establishing our new office in Berlin, but sad that we lose him in London! An emerging tech specialist, his linguistic skills and radar for identifying the best digital talent have us excited that he’s the first on the ground.
He’ll be joined by Frederick Leuschner, who advises on Founders Keepers’ business development in the DACH and CEE Region. Fred wields profound knowledge of how to scale businesses, build multinational organisations in growth industries, and create high performing teams that deliver results.
We are also excited to be sharing our AI Campus office space with our sister businesses, firstminute Capital and Founders Intelligence.
